Calculations
Mortgage figures you type — balance, rate, term, and overpayment — are used only to draw the result on this page. They are not sent to Upcott Studios and are not stored in an account. There is no sign-in.
Visit count
The footer shows a running visit total. On a first view in a browser tab session, the site asks the server to add one to that count and stores a flag in session storage so a refresh does not count again. The counter is a number, not a profile: it does not record your name, email, or the mortgage figures you entered.
Advertising
Pages may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners can use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, including ads based on previous visits to this or other sites. You can control ad personalisation in Google’s ad settings. Google describes how advertising cookies work in its advertising technologies policy.
Fonts and sharing
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those files from Google. The share buttons open X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Reddit, or your email app with this page’s address. Those services only receive the link if you choose to share it.
Shop links
The shop links to books on Amazon. Those are affiliate links. If you buy something, Amazon may pay Upcott Studios a commission. Amazon.co.uk buttons keep the short links we were given. Amazon.com buttons use the affiliate tag upcottstudios-20. Once you leave this site, Amazon’s own privacy policy applies. We do not receive your Amazon account details.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not ask for an account. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Companion tools linked from the studios page are separate sites with their own pages.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated date above will move with it. Continued use of the calculator after a change means the new policy applies.
